I have a simple Service Catalog item that creates a single task. But after it is submitted, the task auto-completes and resolves the incident. But I haven't touched the task. This also is happening on my approvals testing also.
What you might be running into is your spam filter engine is clicking on the links in the emails coming from Samanage which is completing the tasks and approvals. Since this happens before the email lands in your inbox it looks like everything is complete before you even get into the ticket.
We recommend white listing Samanage in your spam filter engine so it does not check the emails coming from Samanage.
If that does not resolve your issue I would recommend doing what Yum suggested and hit up our awesome Support Team at firstname.lastname@example.org
