Is there a way to set up the system to automatically change the Status from Awaiting Input to Assigned when a response is received?

When we put a call on hold for more information from the requestor or a 3rd party it doesn't change back to assigned once a reply is received.  Is there any way to set up this automatic state change.


I know it works with resolved calls but cannot get it to work on Awaiting Input (live) calls.
