the issue that we have is when a comment is made after a task has been completed, for example:
we have a service catalog for onboarding and a workflow that goes through many different groups in order to get everything ready for the new employee at this time only the default assignee and the requester get a notice of new comments. The problem we have is when something changes halfway through the workflow and we need to go back and change things that may already have been completed. I need a way to notify task owners of a comment that is made - it would be nice if there was some type of button or check box that says "include all task owners on this comment" so that they updated action can be taken. We have this happen on a regular basis and right now have to send emails outside of the help desk to take appropriate actions and loose the traceability of all actions
That makes sense. Currently, we only have notifications at the assignee, requester, and CC level. You could potentially add them to the CC so they could get emails regarding comments as well if that workflow made sense for your users.
However, I definitely would encourage you to submit your idea as a feature request here: https://community.samanage.com/community/create-idea!input.jspa?containerType=14&containerID=2005&contentType=3227383
These may also be of interest to vote up and could potentially assist with notifying others as well!
