Zapier - Send Samanage alerts via SMS with Twilio

Use Zapier to notify key personnel automatically via a Twilio SMS when your IT service desk add a new incident to Samanage.

Getting your accounts ready

Samanage You can connect your existing Samanage account to Zapier easily, or you may need to set up a new account first.

TwilioYou can connect your existing Twilio account to Zapier easily, or you may need to set up a new account first.

Make a note of your API Credentials to use when connecting your account. They can be found at the Twilio Account Settings page You will need both your AccountSID and Auth Token.

  1. Choose an existing Samanage account from the drop-down menu, or connect a new account.

  2. If you are connecting a new account, enter your Samanage Email and Password .

  1. Click Yes, continue.

  2. Choose an existing Twilio account from the drop-down menu, or connect a new account.

  3. If you are connecting a new account, enter your Twilio AccountSID and Auth Token.

  1. Click Log In.

  2. Set up the Twilio action field settings.

You will need to select the Twilio account From Number from the dropdown. The To Number  is also required and can be selected from the available Samanage field.

Note: You can include any of the data captured by the Samanage incident in the action fields. They can be selected from the Insert fields buttons.

  

  1. Click Save + finish to complete the Zap.


Now test the Zap to make sure it works. Once you're satisfied with the results, you're all set to start automatically creating Twilio SMS messages from your Samanage incidents as they are created.



Note: If you ever want to change this Samanage to Twilio integration, just go to your Zapier dashboard and tweak anything you?d like.
