In an effort to better serve our customer with operations in European Union (EU) operations and to stay ahead of evolving Data Protection legislation, we are pleased to announce the availability of our new EU data center located in Ireland.
What does this mean for new customers?
As new trial or subscription users are on boarded to the Samanage application, they are automatically redirected to as appropriate, without the need to specify the target data center.
What does this mean for current customers?
We are developing an automated migration targeting availability in 2H 2016. Existing customers will continue to operate out of their current environment.

Q: How are new customers directed to the appropriate data center?
A: When prospects sign up for a trial or are on-boarded after purchase, the location of the originating IP address is used to create the account in the appropriate data center.
Q: What should I do if an opened an account in the incorrect environment?
A: Open a ticket with support. Given migration is currently not available, the account in the incorrect environment will need to be removed as the new account in the correct environment is established.
Q: What are the explicit URLs for the EU data center?
A: Each account URL will (e.g. .samanage.com) will be directed to the appropriate data center. The direct link for the EU data center is: appeu.samanage.com.
Q: Are EU API users automatically re-directed like application users?
A: No. To avoid the additional latency of the overhead associated with redirection, EU API users should use the explicit data enter URL apieu.samanage.com.
Q: What are the Support hours for EU customers?
A: Support hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM - 1 AM.
