Lifecycle and Repair Reports

There seems to be little discussion around asset lifecycle in recent history. The lifecycle feature appears to be there to track assets as they are acquired, repaired, moved in and out of spare status etc. If we use this feature, how do we report on the lifecycle stages?

For example, I want to see all computers that were sent for repair in the last month. I don't want to see currently out for repair (which could be seen by filtering by lifecycle state) I want to see those that went out and were returned within a certain time period (1 month or more). This way I can get useful information on the repair turn around time from our vendor.

Any tips on how this can be accomplished? Does anyone have a success story around their asset managers using the lifecycle in a big way?
