Change Management access from portal

We have multiple users who we have defined as 'Change Approvers'. They are department heads and the like.

At the moment we have created a role in Samanage that has the same permissions as a portal user, but with the addition of permission to 'Manage' changes.

These users receive approval emails when change requests are submitted, and they can approve them. They can't however click the link in the email and view the change. This is I assume because the role we have created is defined to access the portal only.

The problem is I really don't want these users to access anything other than the portal and have the ability to manage changes.

Is there a way to provide changes to the portal, or alternatively give these users access to it via the approval email?
