Task Due Date changes to text after saving Catalog Item

The task due date for Catalog Items changes to "Due in " (text) after the item is saved. If I need to edit a task, I need to edit all tasks so the due dates are set and added properly. Here are a few screenshots that show the issue. Originally I had entered a number in the field, but revisiting the Catalog Item changes it to text. If I continue to edit the item, it continues to prepend the field with "Due in Due in ..." and so on, as shown with the third screen cap. Seems like the system should not modify the field once it's set.
