I like the message bar. It would be much better if we had more formatting options as well as email notifications setup so that if we needed the comment to be emailed out to our user that they would get notifications of the message via Email. For example: I have System X that is in a Critical state that I need to get the word out to my users that we are working on the issue. Currently the only way they will know that System X is having issues is if they go to the portal and actually read the message, or if they call the support hotline and we tell them that there is an issue, or we have to send out a mass email that has the same message on it this would automate the process.
