My organization currently has a need for this as our SLA states that hardware needs to be deployed by a new hire's start date. These requests could come in anywhere from a week to a month ahead of their start date.

I think there are certain situations where a request that would fall under an organization's Service Level Agreement may be made far in advance with a due date. Since each request is not always going to have the same timeline then the currently available SLM rules, based on countdown timers, will not work.
