    In the Portal, service catalogue items (Requests) are grouped into the root categories they use, with a max of 5 items in each group.

     

    We use one root category 'Requests' for all of our catalogue items, so we end up with this:

    This is not very useful. We can promote more than 5 catalogue items to the portal landing page!

    When users click 'All Requests items', they're then

     

    This is less than ideal; we can pin more items than 5 to the portal landing page, and we use one root category 'Requests' for all of our service catalogue items. When clicking the 'Show all items' link, the full listing isn't exactly that friendly either, with all items still grouped in fives:

    It would be much better if we could customise the layout options at least a little for the service catalogue. Even the flat table of everything like the knowledgebase would be better than it is currently.

    It would be nice to be able to choose the max number of items displayed per group and choose how to group items, for example by category+subcategory or just category.
