I would like to see the option to add a dashboard widget that can be setup by the end user to use any filters that they see fit.
Restricting widgets to set templates is a great idea to standardize the look and feel of the tool, but it is far too restrictive to be beneficial in all circumstances. Allowing users to be creative in customizing their personal view will enhance the experience greatly.
For example, we assign tasks and incidents to groups rather than to individual users to ensure that situations are dealt with in a timely fashion should one member of the team not be available. I would like to be able to create a custom widget that filters open tasks for the groups that I am a part of, not just tasks assigned to me personally.
