It would be very useful to us to be able to have email alerts fire to draw our attention in the case of a high priority incident.
Our use case is that we do not have the manpower to have someone monitoring our service desk all the time. We need to be able to pull away from the desk to work on projects and focus on infrastructure work. However, as our coworkers know this, they tend not to trust that we'll respond to incidents and they start dropping by. And, of course, we'd hate to not notice a high-prio incident for any amount of time. Email is the universal notification system for us, so we'd love to be able to use it more.
