Specifying requester when creating incidents via API

    We have a self-service portal we're integrating into Samange, and I've found that when we specify as requester an email that doesn't exist in our Samange users, the system will change it to the API user that submitted the incident.


    I'd like to be able to specify an email that isn't assigned to a Samange user and still have that show up, either as just an email or as a new user with that email.


    Is there a way to do this other than creating a user with the email if it doesn't exist? If that's the only way, is there a better way than pulling down the whole user list, searching for the email, and creating a user if needed before I submit the incident call? I don't see in the docs a way to search users by email. I'd really love to be able to do this in one transaction.
