Waking this one up.
We have numerous cases (including this morning), where we have routine requests we need to submit, and once they are closed we cannot clone them, without changing them back to RESOLVED. This seems like a flaw.
Case in point (today).
We are upgrading an application host server. We have upgraded the application on the Development Server and the Test Server. For each of those I had to submit two incidents
I have to do this for two additional environments, Pre-Production (UAT) and Production. I cannot clone these incidents, and simple change the server name and date (like I could with a CLOSED CHANGE). Instead I have to take the incident out of the Closed state to Resolved. Then I can hit the EDIT INCIDENT button. Then I can click the "Clone Incident" link.
Yes, I can just CLONE a closed-complete or closed-incomplete CHANGE with no muss or fuss.
