We use Samanage for all kinds of tasks, not just incidents being reported from our users. It would be very useful for us to be able to put an incident on hold and then have it automatically go back to the previous state after some time. The time should be specified when the incident is put on hold.

One example could be that we received notification from one of our ISPs saying they will perform maintenance work on the line on a date a month in the future. The easiest way to track this is to forward the notification into Samanage and track it there. But since we cannot do anything about it and need not worry about it until three days before, we don't want it to show up in our list of work to do. But if we set the state to "On Hold", what will prompt us to set it back to "Assigned"? If we could set a date and have the state change automatically, we could set and forget.

What problem will this feature solve?:
