I'd like to see the ability to force a custom field be required (mandatory) when the state is changed to 'Closed'.
I have a custom field in the 'Change' module that I would like populated when the change is completed. At current, I cannot flag it 'Mandatory' because it will not pass validation on submission as un-populated.
During testing as non-mandatory, the field can be populated on 'Close' within 'Edit' mode which allows someone to modify other fields in an already approved change.
Hmmm are you trying to get a "Resolution" field? I think that is already implemented in the incident portion of the application. Also what would happen if the system changes the ticket from Resolved to closed? Would a technician have to go into the ticket to enter data into that field to ensure that it closes?
I'm just curious as to the use case.
