We would like to be able to add comments and attachments to tasks. This would help task management for teams. For example, if a tech assigned to an incident, needs to assigned a task linked to this incident to another tech, there's no way for the tech assigned to the task to respond back, other than doing it as a private comment directly on the incident. If the tech assigned to the task is on the road, it's even more difficult for him to work on the task, because tasks are not included in the mobile view.
Ways to improve task management in Samanage:
- Adding comments to tasks
- Adding attachments to tasks
- Adding "assigned by" to task, enabling for example managers to assign tasks based on incidents to different techs.
- Adding time entry to task "due at" field
- Reminders via e-mail / SMS (that goes for all due dates in Samanage)
- Adding tasks to the mobile view
