Samanage is excited to announce an infrastructure change that enhances the way Service Desk index pages load (Incidents, Problems, Changes, Releases). This enhancement is geared towards improving the overall loading time of the queues, and is a key component for future functionality.
You may notice a subtle change when your queues are loading. Essentially, we are now loading a template (header, footer, etc.) first, then loading the incident details. This optimizes the loading experience and opens up capabilities for more “real-time” functionality in the future. This technology is similar to what many companies, like Facebook and LinkedIn, use with their websites and apps.
While the experience has changed, performance and load times for the page have either improved or stayed the same compared to the previous loading process.
Please keep an eye on the Community for future updates that will continue to drive efficiency to the incident queue, or follow this post focused on all the UX/UI updates that have been delivered or that are currently being developed.
As we continue to improve Samanage, we appreciate your feedback. Let us know what you think about this enhancement!
