Samanage is excited to announce an enhancement that allows you to clone automation rules. Automation rules make your service desk run more efficiently by automatically performing actions to your incoming tickets and service requests. Many automation rules follow a similar pattern, so the ability to clone allows you to scale your rules quickly and consistently across your service desk.
For example, you may have multiple sites at your organization and want to route incoming tickets to the local support teams. Now you can now build the initial automation rule, clone it, and only need to make the site and reassignment rule changes to complete the new automation.
To use this feature, simply go to the Automations section of setup:
Next, click the clone button located next to the title of the Automation Rule:
This will make a copy of the rule, allowing you to rename, and make the applicable changes.
