While it is not mandatory, some network configurations it is necessary to whitelist our inventory server so that your managed assets can report successfully. While we try to maintain a static IP for our application and servers, it is possible at times that the IP address will change.

The following domains should be added to your whitelist:

  • AWS S3 - must have for the agent to able to post data to samanage
  • opendns.com - should be open to get the machine’s external ip
  • US:
    • s3.amazonaws.com
    • agt.samanage.com (from version 1.1.303 (Windows) and 1.1.65 (OS/X))
  • EU:
    • s3.amazonaws.com
    • s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com
    • agteu.samanage.com (from version 1.1.303 (Windows) and 1.1.65 (OS/X))

The appropriate amazonaws.com addresses for your location should already be open on your firewalls to allow attachments to be uploaded to Samanage.
