The Samanage Service Portal allows your end-users another option for submitting incidents, service requests, or viewing your organization's knowledge base. There are a number of different options for customizing your specific portal. When you select the service portal section of the setup menu you will be able to see all of these options.

The first section that you will notice in this menu is the ability to preview the portal. This will be helpful in allowing you to periodically see how the changes you make actually look from the portal view. The next section down is where you specify your allowed domains. Typically this will be your organization's domain but you can also include other domains depending on who you want to grant access to. If you enter multiple domains be sure to separate them with commas.

As you continue down the page you will notice that you can insert your organization's logo and favicon. Other options for customization are entering in your title, welcome message, and sign up message.

In the "Portal Menus & Sections" option you will be able to select the default landing page for your end users. You will also be able to change the order or wording of the different menus at the top of the portal page. One reason that you may wish to change the wording of the menus is to keep the language that already exists in your organization the same to make it easier for your end-users. You can also choose to remove a menu completely by unchecking the box next to it. These options are shown below:

The last two sections are "Header Color" which will allow you to apply your organizations colors to the portal and "Customizations" which lets you control the end-user experience. In the "Customizations" section there are a number option that you can choose to apply or leave off of the portal, depending on how much information you would like your end-user to input. Those options are shown in the picture below:
